New Home ISD is excited to welcome back students and staff on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. ​First period will start at 10:00 AM.

Staff will be on-hand to receive students as early as 8:00 AM for those parents needing to get to work. Both the elementary and secondary cafeteria will be open, warm, and ready for students in the morning. 

Busses will operate on pavement only due to the inability of TxDot and county road crews to scrape those surfaces. We are having to rely on mother nature to melt the ice and snow there. 

Dale and his crew have been working hard to get our sidewalks and parking lots clean, but there are still some slick spots. Additional salt will be put down in the morning, but please use extreme caution.
