Campus Adminstration
NHSS Principal
Hi! My name is Katina Carlile, and it is truly an honor to serve as the Principal of New Home Secondary School.
I am a lifelong educator whose career began in the classroom as a high school science teacher, followed by twelve years working as a school counselor at both the middle school and high school levels. For the last 7 years, I have been serving as a high school campus administrator. Each of these experiences have shaped my values and how I lead. I believe strong schools are built when students feel known, teachers feel supported, and families feel connected and informed.
While there is no doubt New Home has already shown excellence in academics, athletics, ag, FFA, fine arts, and many other areas, my focus as principal will be to protect this culture of success while continuing to grow opportunities for students. My goal is for all students to have access to programs that will prepare them for whatever path they choose after graduation.
I believe in being present and visible. You will see me in classrooms, ball games, stock shows, theater performances, and community events. I value clear communication, listening to students and families, and working alongside teachers to ensure our students are getting the best education possible.
I am proud to serve this campus, to become part of this community, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.
NHSS Assistant Principal

I am incredibly excited to join the New Home family!
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of serving the Lubbock ISD community in a variety of roles. My journey in education includes coaching football, basketball, soccer, and track, as well as teaching middle and high school U.S. History. For the last five years, I’ve gained valuable administrative experience serving as an assistant principal at O.L. Slaton Middle School, Evans Middle School, and Lubbock High School.
Education is a family passion for us—my wife, Morgan, is also an assistant principal in Lubbock-Cooper ISD. Together, we are the proud parents of three wonderfully unique children who keep us busy with Junior PGA golf, horseback riding, dance, and Moonlight Musicals!
At my core, I am deeply passionate about growing, leading, and mentoring both students and educators. God has truly blessed me with a path to make a positive impact in the lives of others, and I couldn't be more thrilled to continue that mission right here in New Home.
I’m looking forward to a fantastic year ahead—Go Leopards!
