New Home ISD Challenge Coins celebrate the small-town values that make our community special - neighbors helping neighbors, pride in our work, and doing the right thing even when no one’s looking. Students and staff can earn a Challenge Coin for actions like random acts of kindness, going above and beyond for others, being an upstander (not a bystander), showing exceptional leadership or integrity, welcoming new Leopards, or pitching in when help is needed. Anyone can earn a coin from Chief Garza - they are presented as a surprise, often in the moment, to honor character, service, and the spirit of being "Rooted in Tradition and Reaching for Tomorrow.” 

Collecting a coin is more than an award - it’s a reminder that in New Home ISD, we take care of each other.
